On february 11th, 2014 will be held a new Inria - Industry meeting session on «Bioinformatics and digital tools for health products».
Life Sciences are facing data explosion. Informatics has become crucial in order to process, analyze, store and display a constantly growing volume of information. Knowledge improvment and Value creation requires intensive data integration, comparison and linkage. The actual challenge is no longer limited to data management and to accessing to computational resources but also consists in the ability to produce new hypotheses, models and have them validated on the bench. Applied mathematics and ICT do contribute now directly to the design of further experiments.
On February 11th 2014, INRIA, in partnership with the Lyon Biopôle cluster, is organizing in Lyon an INRIA-Industry meeting, dedicated to the role of modeling and data analysis and management, in the conception of new drugs and healthcare products.
Speakers from industry, academia or healthcare professionals will share their experience and provide an overview. Demos from INRIA teams and other Lyonbiopôle members will be on display in the showroom. Bioinformatics, "omics" data analysis, bio-modelling (systems biology, structural biology, physiology, PK/PD), HPC and Big-Data will be among the addressed topics.
